Palings Lifestyle was born from Palings Music Centre Lismore at the start of the millenium. Since then it has proudly been the top Northern Rivers home entertainment specialist, servicing the local community with great prices and good advice since 1911 and as such, has helped generations of local people obtain fine quality, great value home entertainment.

The store changed hands in 1984 when Steve Kennedy took control, bringing the already reputable business to a new height in product quality and customer service now offering some of the lowest prices in the country on brands of exceptional quality and popularity. Steve Kennedy has had vast experience in the industry supplying, installing and repairing audiovisual systems for local people for the past 34 years.

Palings Lifestyle Lismore have been the authorised Bose dealers for the Northern Rivers since 1985. Palings Lifestyle are also dealers for Mitsubishi data and home theatre projectors and Sherwood component hi-fi. These internationally renowned brands and their products have been selected not only because of their outstanding value and commitment to research and design, but also because of their strong after sales support and backup.

In 1999 Steve Kennedy embarked on a major overhaul of Palings Lismore, the first since its relocation to magellan st in 1966. This move was largely due to his commitment to providing high quality home audio and video products, great service and discounted prices. Steve purchased a house on the very prominent Ballina and Dawson st roundabout, and created an exclusive home like shopping environment, with systems set up in each room, to simulate a real audio visual experience.
